Liberation of Mental Slavery

A Brother-king on my facebook page said when I think of all the things white people have done it makes me so angry, how can I love my enemy? Funny thing about our history, it didn't begin with chains.

The Golden Age, when Black Queens and Kings, ruled Africa, the ancient pyramids constructs used to generate power; water running over limestone aquifers and energy for the suns rays, would produced an energy field believed to uplift humanity.

Whether whites play a role or not is not nearly as important as it is for Black people to                  understand that our ultimate mental liberation must be guided by our independent action and    activity. We cannot operate with the expectation that our true liberation can only come when    European-American people change their mentality.  - Na'Im Akbar, Ph.D.

If we want our children to learn about our rich history, instead of being bombarded with images of slavery and white supremacy; than the answer is quite simple, teach them. Black teachers, teaching black students, about black history; lets us teach them of our scientist and inventors, or great theologians and writers. We must also teach them of slavery and not as something to be ashamed of but something to be understood.
Understanding your culture helps you understand the most important parts of who you are, if blacks understood their culture and its beauty and true meaning. Our Sister-queens would realize that we are more than a fat ass, it is our great knowledge and our DNA that makes us great; we have every genetic trait in our DNA. Brother-kings, their is a reason your voice is so strong because you are great teachers and leaders.
We are not clowns and jokers, we no longer have to shuck and jive and entertain to ensure our survival; WE ARE FREE to create as never before.

Love One Another

I was not always this loving and excepting of people and from time to time, I find myself angered by peoples' lack of knowledge, understanding and reading ability. I often say I am a "jack of all trades and a master of none"; this statement is both true and false. I am a jack of many trades but I have mastered one, "Myself."

As Homo Sapiens (knowing beings), we have the ability to control every emotion we feel and every thought we express.
When someone addresses you, you have in that moment tools to hear, interpret and respond accordingly; with the understanding that regardless of whether or not the person in which you are speaking is hostile, you can be respectful. My mom said, "when you master language and communicating, you can insult someone and have them thank you for it."
If you have a mastery of language, you can use words like ignorant and racist without offending someone; when truth is presented, a wise man welcomes knowledge, while a fool argues in ignorance. Those that lack wisdom and understanding are easily offended and will mock those of different beliefs because they lack in knowledge.

The Golden Rule says do unto others, this means allowing people to express themselves without the fear of ridicule. If someone is gay but you are not, what does it matter to you? If someone loves God and you do not believe, why must you attempt to kill their faith and "enlighten" them.
Let me Enlighten you, a persons reality is based on the things which they have experienced and perceived; NO TWO PEOPLE PERCEIVE THE SAME EVENT IN THE SAME MANNER. No person is right or wrong in what they perceive, however it is possible to be lacking in information, that would change your perception.

Those that do not believe the words of the bible, do not understand history and theology; those that pollute the Mother Earth, do not understand ecology and biology. When you understand a great many things it simplifies how you perceive mans existence; division is no longer, rich and poor, black and white. It is those that seek knowledge and those that continue to be a slave to ignorance.
The answer to ignorance is Love; to love is to understand, to communicate, to help, to shelter, to feed, to cloth, to bathe, to humble before, to listen, to accept, to include, to journey with, to protect and to provide knowledge and wisdom.
If we approach everyone we meet with this definition of love, we will cure ignorance; we will have taught many to fish so they can be feed for a lifetime.

It's a very negative opinion of white people as a whole and not true . If choose dwell on the bad as a hole . Then your basing that hole on small percentage of whites. There are more white people that have helped other races than have harmed other races. Its hate and this kind of post was produced by a white man. Only for him to capitalise on the sinceitivity of minority's .

Again I didn't say it was my view, it was a post and the quote came from a white guy so take it up with him. You might not like it but again not my words.
PS it is true, look at history

I don't think so first off there is no such thing as reverse racism, open a dictionary, a racist is one who is proficient in his understanding and history of his race. I will not be shamed for knowing my history. and you are ignorant to shame me
Don't be mad at the fact the history of the white man has more blood then any other race, own it, who cares, its your past doesn't have to be your future,
Next time you hit up my inbox, come with facts, knowledge and understanding not just your puffed up beliefs
    Good day and God bless

I don't hate white, I never said I did, just because I am pro black doesn't mean I am anti white
    you seriously should educate yourself

So if white person says any thing in there own defense they are automatically not educated and your entitled to post what ever negative thing you to encourage for black people to hate white people it's okay.
The post is incredibly negative incredibly offensive to white people true or not you only make the problem worse when you post stuff like that

You haven't said anything to defend yourself other than claim I'm propagating hate. Understand I already explained my position and defined racist for you. There is a history of hate that is very real and its offenders are white. Period, history has a long record to back that fact. Second, I don't hate white people, the post was a quote from a white guy, so before you get mad at the black girl for posting it, maybe you should think how valid is it. And again you want to forget the fact its true, lets pretend it did't happen, I don't think so. The only way for you to learn from your past is to acknowledge it and I will not see my children be slaves because some people don't like the reality of their inhuman past. Your offend by the post and history is offended that you are so quick to forget it when it does not look on your people favorably.

Yes it is very negative and not all white people are bad or do think that way.

You should post something positive about white people like how many white people adopt black children you don't see black people adopting white kids. White people freed slaves white people also lobby to get black peoples rights why people hate black people more than they hurt them

I did't say all white people are bad, are you going to have a conversation where you actual state facts or points that I made, or are you going to continue to make assertion. Is that what they told you about white history, my child you have a lot to learn
  • Joe Bugg
    8/23, 5:22pm
    Joe Bugg
Its negative white people do help black people .
  • The fact is all races commit crimes and they're all bad not one race is worse than the other. There are tremendous amounts of black on black crime look at all the people executed in Africa Hotel Rwanda for example
    • It's racist to single out one group vs another group

Joe, before we have this conversation, I caution you to educate yourself. I already defined racist and you have used the word wrong yet again. which leads me to believe that you do not have wisdom nor do you seek truth or understanding.

This is the most frustrating, thing to deal with, so let me make it very clear.

I don't care if you are white, black, Asian, Hispanic; you are who you are. I am who I am and I am proud of my heritage.
Also learn the true meaning of words, a racist is one that is proficient in his understanding of his race and his history. That doesn't mean you have to hate another race, that also doesn't mean that you have to be sensitive when telling a truth about, a peoples history. If you don't like the ugliness of your history, than maybe your should be mad at your ancestors, rather then the black people that choose to acknowledge such facts.

Single is a Choice Not a Sentence

50 percent of the emails I get are relative to relationship status, i.e. your so kind and beautiful, why are you single? The answer is simple, being single is a choice and not a sentence; relationships are always an option, so I choose to better myself and seek more understand before entering one. I notice many people complaining about being single as though it is an aliment; so I ask if you can't live alone with yourself, why would you ask anyone else too?

As I grow older I ask myself, why do people dislike being single; why do they long for company with whom they can lay their head? Some would argue the mammalian part of our brain, urges us to mate and cultivate families, but that is only in cases where everyone knows their role. If you do not know your place or cannot be a contributing member to a relationship, should you enter one?
The role of the husband is to protect and provide for his wife and family, in turn the wife is to be a help-meet for her husband, attending to the affairs of the home and family. If you don't have the skills to be that supportive wife and home maker, should you look to be in a relationship? I would caution those that don't have all the necessary tools of discipline, understanding, empathy, compassion, honesty and trust; to not waste your time and give away your peace for a temporary pleasure.
You can learn those skills through interactions with your own family, as you journey in the world someone will meet you and fall in love with those qualities, not just your looks. This person will possess many of these same qualities in which they found in you, so attractive. There will be no need to apologize for there will always be understanding, no need to fight because there will always be communication. Relationships take work but marriage is easy if you truly love someone and they love you just as passionately.
You will be so concerned with their well being and they with yours, that neither will lack anything; nothing will be a sacrifice for the one you love, it will serve as another opportunity to make them smile, and meet a need. Choosing to be single is choosing to wait for the one who ignites those desires, if you continue to do it for every man; you will eventually get tired and be worn-out.

The Baby Mom-ma; can you feel some type of way?

A good friend of mine emailed me last night, she was like "awkward situation, I am hanging with this guy and we have had sex and he knows I like him. Well we are hanging out and his baby mom-ma is here; is that even cool, can I be upset?" I asked her if they had an understanding, she said no, so I replied No you cam't be mad. This got me thinking about the number of situations females find themselves in today, involving the baby mother and some understanding on how to handle it.

First understand, she is the mother of his kids, she is owed respect, regardless of what you may hear or how you feel. This is important to remember because you want a man who puts his family first; if he is neglecting his family to be with you, he will neglect your family to be with another. The mother of his kids needs to respect you as well because you are the person whom he is with and will add on to his family with. You and her must have a mutual respect and understanding because your children share the same father; it does you no good to have a division in the family.

Second, if he still in love with her, don't start a family with him; this will only hurt you. How many have fallen victim to the first baby mother because he was still in love with her; the only reason it didn't work out was because they were too young and only after growing apart did they fall more in love. Females do not concern yourself with being the Next, you want to be the Last; You want to be the one he calls wife and not baby mother.

Third, if you'll haven't come to an understanding or had a conversation about whether or not you are in a relationship. Don't say anything, you are his home girl kick'in it at that point and no ways should be felt. This goes for males too, when they find themselves dealing with the baby daddy.

At some point in time, you will find yourself in one of these positions and if you do handle the situation with maturity and class.

Does it matter?

So I got an email late last night, from a wonderful sister, who was in need of a prayer. She recently found out the man who she thought was her father, wasn't and she wanted closer from her mom, but her mother offered no relief. So she emailed me and we prayed, I had originally intended this to be a Blog for Viewpoints, however I get a number of email each day from my friends. They all need a prayer or advice about many of the same things, so upon receiving such emails I decided to address them here.

Now, for those of you who don't know my background, I am a product of rape; I don't know my father. Growing up I thought my siblings and I shared the same dad but when I was 22 I found out the truth.
This is not something that is foreign to members of our community, not knowing their fathers; and we see the damage it can do to a young females energy as she interacts with males. Some girls allow themselves to be used and toys for a boys pleasure because they never had that Father to tell them they are princesses to be respect. There are also women, who without a father, come to an understanding of their worth; so I ask, Does it matter?
Does it matter who your parents on this Earth are so long as you have an example of a Mother and Father? I would not argue, it maybe easier in a two parent home, but if you don't have that structure, should you still have to suffer in ignorance? We have the ability to learn, grow and constantly take in new information, with this ability we can choose to draw on examples from those in our lives, to help us overcome today.
I have more than one mother, though only one gave birth to me; I have more than one father, even though only one gave his seed. My life began with those two but it most certainly does not end there, the people of this community can be fathers and mothers to the young; and teach and lead by example. Children are always watching, not just their parents but everyone.

The Power of Why?

Why are we here? The hardest and the simplest question but not the one everyone is asking.
We are a Community of, What's? So concerned with the label that we forget to put something inside. To be wealth, to be poor, or to be honest and good? We are born into this world with nothing and we work so hard to accumulate status but what does it matter if you have not status in family?
Take away all material possessions we are all: mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, grandchildren, nephews and nieces to someone. Someone you know refers to you as one of those things, that is not changed by the amount of money you have in your pocket; or that car that you drive or where you live, or the color of your skin. So I ask you Why?
When do we call ourselves by other races, religions and sexual orientations? Why divide ourselves in class, what purpose does that serve, being different that is? We are all people, we want to have families and provide for those families, protect them and feed them; so what can we all do that together? Why do we use money to separate us, why not a service for a service, a labor for a labor? No money, you want shelter, have your brother help you build it, you need food grow it ask you sister give you, in return when you have grown your own stores you will give to her from you stores when she have need.
Why have we complicated the very simple human existence with money? When you die you can't take any of this stuff with you, so why miss out on valuable time with your family? Why not teach your own kids and labor for your own families, grow your own food to feed your families? Why work to get money to buy everything you can build for your family?
What does life matter if you don't know why you are living it?
