Does it matter?

So I got an email late last night, from a wonderful sister, who was in need of a prayer. She recently found out the man who she thought was her father, wasn't and she wanted closer from her mom, but her mother offered no relief. So she emailed me and we prayed, I had originally intended this to be a Blog for Viewpoints, however I get a number of email each day from my friends. They all need a prayer or advice about many of the same things, so upon receiving such emails I decided to address them here.

Now, for those of you who don't know my background, I am a product of rape; I don't know my father. Growing up I thought my siblings and I shared the same dad but when I was 22 I found out the truth.
This is not something that is foreign to members of our community, not knowing their fathers; and we see the damage it can do to a young females energy as she interacts with males. Some girls allow themselves to be used and toys for a boys pleasure because they never had that Father to tell them they are princesses to be respect. There are also women, who without a father, come to an understanding of their worth; so I ask, Does it matter?
Does it matter who your parents on this Earth are so long as you have an example of a Mother and Father? I would not argue, it maybe easier in a two parent home, but if you don't have that structure, should you still have to suffer in ignorance? We have the ability to learn, grow and constantly take in new information, with this ability we can choose to draw on examples from those in our lives, to help us overcome today.
I have more than one mother, though only one gave birth to me; I have more than one father, even though only one gave his seed. My life began with those two but it most certainly does not end there, the people of this community can be fathers and mothers to the young; and teach and lead by example. Children are always watching, not just their parents but everyone.
